Snowmass is a Zone C delivery at Zone C$750 each way over 67 miles from our Gypsum yard. Steep lots and heavy winter work favor compact walk-in storage, heated 20 ft offices and seasonal equipment, all listed in the fleet price table near the end.

How steep is too steep for a placed unit?

The pad itself must be firm, level and well drained; a container is not a retaining structure and cannot bridge a grade. That holds even when the empty footprint appears to fit between a driveway edge and a building.

Snowmass Village has hillside parcels, cul-de-sacs and private roads that can challenge a loaded tilt-bed. A truck carries more weight and needs more turning room than a pickup, so send photos or a slow approach video before reserving.

Begin at the public road and record every turn to the pad. Show gate posts, retaining walls, branches, overhead utilities, soft shoulders, parked vehicles, grades and the place where the truck can straighten for unloading.

A 20 ft unit requires about 70 ft of straight-line clearance, while a 40 ft unit needs about 100 ft under Rental Agreement §5. The route also needs adequate width, turning radius, overhead room and a grade the driver can use safely.

Approach questionWhat to documentWhy it matters
Can the truck enter and leave?Gate width, curves and turn roomAvoids a blind entry on a private road
Can it line up straight?70 ft or 100 ft unloading laneAllows the tilt-bed to set and retrieve
Will the pad stay level?Base material, drainage and edge supportLimits settling and an unsafe set
Will winter block pickup?Plow route and snow-storage areaKeeps the same working lane open

Mark utilities and box corners before arrival, then have one authorized representative present. We place the unit where that person directs, and damage to pavement, landscaping, utilities or structures from the directed placement remains the customer's responsibility.

Private-road and HOA consent also belong to the customer. Confirm delivery hours, gate access, surface restrictions and design review under Rental Agreement §5, rather than assuming a building permit covers every private rule.

If our truck arrives and cannot set because of the slope, pad, access, weather at the site or an absent representative, the delivery fee applies to that trip and the next one. Resolve a questionable approach with measurements and images before dispatch.

The unit must stay where we set it. Do not tow, drag or lift it; our truck can make an approved on-site relocation for $450 after reviewing the new pad.

Which office handles permits, wildfire and waste plans?

Snowmass Village is a home rule town in Pitkin County with 3,096 residents in the 2020 census. Its Community Development Department at 130 Kearns Road handles planning and building and publishes 970-923-5524 as its phone number.

The town states on its website that it strictly enforces its land use and building codes. Ask Community Development for the current construction-season rules, because resort work can pause or face restrictions around ski season, and those dates belong in the delivery plan.

Town of Snowmass Village Municipal Code Chapter 18 requires a wildfire mitigation plan reviewed by Roaring Fork Fire Rescue for qualifying permits. The same chapter requires a construction waste management and recycling plan; whether a given permit qualifies depends on the project's size and scope, not on whether a container is on site.

Show the storage box, office, fence and waste area on the project drawings you submit. Ask the fire reviewer how fuels or combustibles inside a steel box affect the mitigation plan rather than assuming the shell resolves the issue.

A fenced laydown yard can separate incoming material from waste streams when the approved plan allows it. Temporary fence uses 6 ft by 10 ft galvanized chain-link panels on steel tube stands, with installation and removal charged by linear foot.

Keep waste containers and fence stands outside the delivery lane. The placement plan should work for first delivery, daily trade access, snow removal and final retrieval without moving JOLT's unit.

Snowmass Base Village has been built in phases for years at the foot of the ski area, the largest of the four Aspen Snowmass mountains. Do not assume a prior phase's staging approval carries into a new scope; confirm the current site plan, private controls and town requirements.

For land outside town limits, verify jurisdiction with Pitkin County before filing. A Snowmass mailing reference can describe more than one local setting, and ZIP codes outside our table are quoted by text rather than assigned a zone by guesswork.

Which unit works through a Snowmass winter?

Snowmass Village stands at 8,309 ft, per USGS GNIS. A winter office therefore needs a planned heat source, a maintained pad and a clear route for both service and pickup.

The 20 ft Base office includes a mini-split for heat and cooling, a 50-amp shore-power inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank flooring. Two barred slider windows and a 36-inch steel personnel door support daily field use.

The 20 ft Alpine office starts with the Grid-Free systems and adds backup heat, a standing-seam over-roof and a covered entry deck. Matte black walls and cedar surrounds change its appearance; solar, Starlink, a camera and a 10 kWh battery are included.

The 20 ft Grid-Free office includes WATCH, CONNECT and POWER. A 10 kWh battery runs its HVAC and no shore power is required, though solar and satellite performance still depend on the chosen site.

20 ft tierHeat and powerExterior and included systems
BaseMini-split, 50-amp shore powerStandard office shell
AlpineSolar, 10 kWh pack, backup heatWATCH, CONNECT, POWER, over-roof and deck
Grid-FreeMini-split on 10 kWh battery, no shore powerWATCH, CONNECT and POWER included

Read how a container office is heated and working in one through winter before selecting a tier. Those choices do not replace the customer's duty to clear snow and ice.

READY furnishes an office with a plan table, 2 chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and 1,500 W heater. It stacks on all office tiers, including Grid-Free.

A trailer-mounted ground heater uses hydronic heat through insulated hose to thaw ground and cure concrete in season. A light tower raises 4 LED floodlights on a mast of about 30 ft for short winter days.

Place trailer equipment where service vehicles can reach it without crossing the container's straight lane. Keep snow piles away from hoses, doors, roof edges, fence stands and the route our truck needs at retrieval.

What storage size fits a village driveway?

For a small renovation, a 10 ft storage container is often the first geometry to test. It has half the floor of a 20 ft unit, plus a side man door, barred window and end cargo doors.

The 12 ft storage container is 8 ft wide at standard height. Its man door supports tool-crib traffic, and its end doors still accept bulky material when the driveway leaves room to open them.

A 20 ft storage container provides a standard material room with cargo doors, 4 lock bars and a welded lockbox. It has no window or man door, so organize high-turn tools near the doors and maintain a center aisle.

The 40 ft storage container is a 9 ft 6 in high-cube with twice the 20 ft floor. It also requires a 3-month minimum and about 100 ft of straight clearance, which few village driveways can provide.

The broader 20 ft office family keeps the delivery check near 70 ft and gives the superintendent a separate workroom. Compare the office pad with material access rather than sacrificing the only useful laydown strip.

A 40 ft office with bathroom has an enclosed bathroom at its far end, mini-split, shore-power inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank floor. Its long truck requirement makes it a candidate for larger staging areas rather than a default for hillside residential work.

Review what size truck delivers a container with the private-road manager. Use the jobsite setup checklist to record slope, drainage, utility marks, snow storage and the representative who will direct placement.

Door orientation affects the whole season. Face walk-in doors toward a maintained path, leave cargo leaves clear of plow berms and make sure an open door does not intrude into vehicle movement.

How do power, internet and site control stack together?

Permanent service often arrives after a field office is needed. POWER gives a compatible container two 400 W panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and an inverter, enough for Starlink, the camera, lights and laptops; an office that runs its mini-split all day still wants shore power.

CONNECT adds Starlink Mini, a router and 50 GB Roam. Select the pad with a clear sky view, then protect that view from later roof work, cranes, trees and stacked material.

WATCH is a solar LTE camera with motion alerts and cloud clips. It depends on LTE conditions and does not shift theft risk, because theft is excluded from the damage waiver under Rental Agreement §12.

JOLT PACK combines WATCH, CONNECT and POWER for $699/mo. Grid-Free already includes all three and can take READY, a second camera or unlimited Starlink.

Site control can extend beyond the box. Traffic control offers a Basic package with 25 cones, 6 Type II barricades and 2 sign stands, a Standard package with 50 cones, 10 Type III barricades, 8 vertical panels, 4 sign stands and 2 flagger paddles, and a Full package that adds a solar arrow board and 2 flashing barricade lights.

A portable hand-wash station can accompany a unit or arrive alone. Put it on a serviceable area that does not consume the turnaround or create another obstacle beside a narrow drive.

Security begins with daily practice. Control keys, close cargo doors fully, preserve camera views and keep expensive stock away from a window rather than relying on steel alone.

Grid-Free and Alpine suit a pad without shore power, while Alpine adds its listed exterior and backup-heat features for a visible winter placement. Base remains the only tier eligible for JOLT Express, so schedule and site systems may point to different choices.

How does the 67-mile route affect scheduling?

Our truck travels west from Gypsum on I-70 through Glenwood Canyon to Glenwood Springs. It then follows Colorado 82 past Carbondale and Basalt to the Brush Creek Road roundabout, followed by about 5 miles up Brush Creek Road.

Owl Creek Road connects the village toward Buttermilk and Aspen, but that local connection does not change the dispatch route from our yard. Snowmass and Aspen share the Zone C fee even though our truck leaves Colorado 82 at Brush Creek Road before it reaches Aspen.

Standard delivery takes place within a 2–4 week window from reservation. JOLT Express places only a 20 ft Base office on site within 7 business days for $750.

Glenwood Canyon has faced safety closures since the 2020 Grizzly Creek Fire. Per CDOT, closures can follow flash-flood warnings over the burn scar, rockfall or debris flows.

If I-70 closes before departure, we keep the truck at the yard, text you and reschedule. There is no failed-trip charge, because that charge only arises once the truck reaches your site, and a road closure is an event beyond our reasonable control under Rental Agreement §23.

Independence Pass cannot serve as a detour. CDOT bars vehicles 35 ft or longer throughout the year, and our loaded tilt-bed exceeds that limit; the pass also closed November 17, 2025 and reopened May 21, 2026 for the 2025–26 winter.

Day-of coordination starts before the truck reaches Brush Creek Road. Confirm gate access, remove vehicles, clear snow, stake the corners and keep the named representative's phone available.

A 20 ft Alpine office for 3 months is $1,895/mo rent, $750 delivery and $750 pickup. Add the 12% damage waiver and 5% environmental fee on rent and recurring upgrades, plus sales tax.

The deposit applies to the first invoice under Rental Agreement §2. After the minimum, rent continues month to month until at least 15 days' written pickup notice and our retrieval.

Rates rise 5% at each delivery anniversary. The published pricing separates recurring rent from trip charges, and delivery zones show the ZIP-based schedule.

Damage waiver is 12% of rent plus recurring upgrades, subject to the exclusions in Rental Agreement §12. The alternative is a refundable deposit equal to one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance.

Rent continues until we retrieve the unit. A failed pickup caused by access, site conditions or an unready unit adds the pickup fee for that trip and the subsequent trip under Rental Agreement §16.

How do you reserve for a Snowmass site?

Reserve online, or start with the quote form further down the page. Supply the exact address, selected unit, requested window, site representative and photos showing the private-road approach and level pad.

Review how rental works and the wider Colorado service area before authorizing the deposit. The deposit is credited to the first invoice.

Written cancellation more than 14 days before the first day of the window carries no charge. Cancellation within 14 days forfeits the deposit under Rental Agreement §2.2.

We confirm the delivery window by text after reviewing the reservation. Keep the 70 ft or 100 ft lane open for arrival, and preserve it throughout the rental for retrieval.
