Breckenridge is a Zone C delivery from our Gypsum yard: $750 each way, 71 road miles over Vail Pass and down Highway 9, inside the standard 2–4 week window. An office that holds heat at 9,700 ft, a lockable box that fits a narrow in-town lot and fence for the sidewalk edge are all priced on this page and reserved online.

What does delivery to Breckenridge cost?

The delivery fee is $750 and the pickup fee is $750, charged as two separate legs with nothing else on the transportation line. The truck is ours, so the price does not move when diesel does, and the same fee applies whether the unit is a 10 ft box or a 40 ft office.

Zone C is the first band where the truck leaves the Eagle River valley and crosses a pass. From the yard the route is I-70 east over Vail Pass, which tops out at 10,662 ft (Wikipedia), then Highway 9 south from Frisco along the Blue River into town. Addresses south of town toward Hoosier Pass, which reaches 11,542 ft (Wikipedia), sit outside Breckenridge's ZIP and price by written quote from the reserve flow.

Every Summit County town is in Zone C, so a contractor with a job here and another in Frisco, Silverthorne or Keystone pays the same delivery fee at each. Once a unit is set, moving it to a new pad on the same site is an on-site relocation at $450, done by us rather than by a local hauler, because section 5.5 of the rental agreement keeps unauthorized moves off the table; a move to a different job is arranged through the yard.

Which office works at 9,700 ft?

Breckenridge sits at roughly 9,700 ft (Wikipedia), and an office here spends five or six months in snow. The Alpine 20 ft office is the unit built for that: a standing-seam over-roof that sheds snow, a covered entry deck that keeps the door clear, backup heat for the nights the mini-split works hardest, and a matte black envelope with cedar surrounds that reads as a building rather than a box on a resort street.

The Base 20 ft office is the same steel shell with mini-split heat and cooling, a 36-inch steel personnel door, two barred slider windows and a 50-amp shore-power inlet, and it is the right call for a lot with power and a project that wraps before the deep winter. The Grid-Free 20 ft office is for the lot that has no power yet: solar, a 10 kWh battery that runs the HVAC, Starlink and a camera are built in.

A crew that needs a toilet under the same roof takes the 40 ft office container with bathroom at $1,595/mo, which needs a 100 ft straight approach rather than the 70 ft a 20 ft unit needs. The 20 ft versus 40 ft guide works through which lots can take it.

What storage fits a Breckenridge lot?

In-town lots in Breckenridge are narrow, shared with neighbors and short on turning room, and the fastest way to lose a delivery day is to reserve a box the truck cannot set. The 10 ft storage container at $225/mo and the 12 ft storage container at $325/mo both have a walk-in man door and a barred window on the long side, so they work as a tool crib you enter from the side rather than a box you unload from the end.

The 20 ft storage container at $295/mo remains the default for a job with a driveway or a staging lot, and the 40 ft storage container at $425/mo on a 3-month minimum suits a service-area yard with room to turn a truck. Both are one-trip ISO containers with a welded lockbox on the cargo doors, and the 20 ft adds four lock bars, which is what a resort-town lot with foot traffic needs; the theft answer covers the rest.

Do you need a permit for a container in Breckenridge?

Inside town limits, the Town of Breckenridge Community Development Department issues both development permits and building permits, and the town's rule is that a development permit is required for any change in the use of land or the improvements on it, including new construction, alterations, remodels and demolition (Town of Breckenridge). A container or office serving a permitted project usually rides on that project's approvals, but the department decides that, not us, and building permits in Breckenridge expire 18 months after issue (Town of Breckenridge Building Division).

Some lots with a Breckenridge mailing address sit outside the town limits in unincorporated Summit County, and there the authority is Summit County Building Inspection at 0037 Peak One Drive in Frisco, (970) 668-3170 (Summit County). The county enforces the 2024 International Codes for plans submitted on or after July 1, 2026 (Summit County Building Inspection). The Summit County container answer and the Colorado permit answer lay out the questions to ask; under section 5.2 of the agreement, permits, HOA approvals and landlord consents are yours to hold before the truck arrives.

How does a Breckenridge winter treat a container?

The Structural Engineers Association of Colorado lists Breckenridge at an 80 psf recommended ground snow load in its 2016 Colorado Design Snow Loads report (SEAC), which is double Gypsum's figure and one of the higher values in Summit County. That is a ground load used to design buildings, not a roof rating for a rental unit, and none is published for the fleet; eighty pounds a square foot is the measure of how much clearing a Breckenridge winter asks of a crew and the reason the Alpine tier exists. Our snow load guide has the arithmetic and the winter office answer covers what it is like inside.

Once the unit lands, section 7.4 of the agreement puts snow and ice removal on your crew: the roof, the solar panels, the doors and the paths to them. Plan the plow pile away from the cargo doors and away from the temporary fence line, because a panel buried in a berm comes back bent and section 12 excludes snow-load neglect from the damage waiver.

The road matters too. Colorado's commercial chain law applies on I-70 from Dotsero to Morrison every year from September 1 through May 31 (CDOT), so the truck carries chains for the whole run to Breckenridge for nine months of the year, and a Vail Pass closure is a delivery day lost, so winter windows to Breckenridge are set with weather days in them. Short days argue for a light tower at $1,250/mo on any site working past four in the afternoon, and a ground heater at $1,450/mo in season is what keeps a foundation pour on schedule at this altitude.

What does the truck need at a Breckenridge site?

Section 5.2 of the agreement is the list: a firm, level, well-drained pad; a straight-line approach of 70 ft for a 20 ft unit or 100 ft for a 40 ft; utilities located and marked; and someone from your side on site to direct placement. Our delivery space answer and the truck size answer show what that list looks like against a real Breckenridge lot.

Breckenridge lots are rarely flat. The slope answer explains how much cross-slope the truck can work with and when cribbing is your job, and the foundation answer covers what a container needs under its corners on frozen ground. If the truck arrives and cannot set the unit, section 5.3 bills the trip and a second trip to try again, so a ten-minute walk of the pad the day before is the cheapest insurance on the job.

How do you power and connect an office in Breckenridge?

Every office carries a 50-amp shore-power inlet, and section 7.2 of the agreement requires the connection to be made by a licensed electrician through that inlet rather than by anyone with a cord. If the temporary service is weeks away, the Grid-Free office bridges the gap on its own battery; the off-grid power answer explains what the 10 kWh pack runs and for how long in a Summit County January.

Cell coverage in the valley is workable, but a site behind a ridge or inside a steel box is not, and CONNECT puts a Starlink dish and a router on any storage container or office at $259/mo. WATCH adds a camera at $129/mo, POWER adds solar and battery at $399/mo, and the JOLT PACK bundles those three at $699/mo; READY, which delivers the office furnished and heated, is a separate line at $125/mo. The Starlink cost answer puts the monthly upgrade next to the price of buying a kit for one job.

What does a season in Breckenridge cost?

The rent is the figure on the product page, and any upgrade you add is a monthly line beside it; each invoice then adds a 12% damage waiver and a 5% environmental fee, both figured on rent plus recurring upgrades, and sales tax at the rate for the job address. The $750 delivery and pickup legs are charged once each, not monthly. A Base office at $795/mo carries a 3-month minimum and a $750 reservation deposit that is applied to your first invoice; a 20 ft storage container at $295/mo carries a 1-month minimum and a $350 deposit.

Fence is priced by the foot at $3.50/LF/mo with installation at $1.75 per linear foot and removal at $1.75 per linear foot, and the fence panel answer turns a lot perimeter into a panel count. Rent steps up 5% on each anniversary under section 3.4, which only matters if the unit is still on site a year from now; the pricing page has every fee, deposit and rate in one place.

How do you reserve for Breckenridge?

Choose the unit, enter the job ZIP and the reserve flow shows Zone C, the fee each way and the deposit before you pay. The availability badge on each product page is live, the standard window is 2–4 weeks from reservation, and JOLT Express puts a Base office on site within 7 business days for $750 when the schedule cannot wait.

Cancel in writing more than 14 days before the first day of your window and section 2.2 refunds the deposit; give 15 days' written notice when the job ends and section 16 schedules the pickup, with rent running until the unit is retrieved. How it works lays out the sequence, the Colorado hub shows every town's fee, and the mountain delivery guide is the read for anyone setting a unit in Summit County for the first time.

Questions contractors ask

What does delivery to Breckenridge cost?

Breckenridge is Zone C: $750 for delivery and $750 for pickup, on our own truck from Gypsum, 71 road miles over Vail Pass and down Highway 9. The fee is flat for every Breckenridge ZIP and does not change with the season.

How long does a Breckenridge delivery take?

Reserve and the standard window opens 2 weeks out and closes at 4, with weather days added in winter for Vail Pass. JOLT Express puts a Base 20 ft office on site within 7 business days for a one-time $750; it is offered on that unit only.

Do I need a permit to put a container on a Breckenridge lot?

Inside town limits the Town of Breckenridge Community Development Department issues development and building permits, and its rule is that a development permit is required for any change in the use of land. Outside town limits the authority is Summit County Building Inspection in Frisco. Call before you reserve; the agreement makes permits your responsibility.

Which office is right for a Breckenridge winter?

The Alpine 20 ft office at $1,895/mo, which adds a standing-seam over-roof, a covered entry deck and backup heat to the Base unit. The SEAC recommended ground snow load for Breckenridge is 80 psf, a design figure for buildings rather than a rating for the container; the over-roof sheds snow, and your crew still clears the unit under section 7.4.

Can I get an office where there is no power yet?

Yes. The Grid-Free 20 ft office at $1,495/mo carries solar, a 10 kWh battery, a Starlink dish and a camera, so it works from the morning it lands. Shore-power connections on any office must be made by a licensed electrician through the 50-amp inlet.

What size storage container fits a tight Breckenridge lot?

The 10 ft container at $225/mo needs half the floor of a 20 ft and has a man door on the long side, and the 12 ft at $325/mo adds a barred window and a little more room. Both take the same one-month minimum as the 20 ft at $295/mo.

Who clears the snow off the unit?

Your crew does, under section 7.4 of the rental agreement, which covers the roof, the solar panels, the doors and the access paths. The delivery pad and the approach must be plowed before the truck arrives, because a failed delivery is billed as a trip.

Can I cancel if the project slips?

Written notice more than 14 days before the first day of your delivery window cancels for free and the deposit is refunded in full. Inside 14 days the deposit is forfeited. The deposit is $750 on an office and $350 on a storage container.
