JOLT serves Sun Valley with mobile offices, storage containers, temporary fence and equipment delivered for $1,795 from our yard in Gypsum, Colorado, pickup quoted in writing before delivery and a 12-month minimum term on every unit. Sun Valley Resort opened in 1936 as America's first destination ski resort and installed the world's first chairlifts that year, according to Sun Valley Resort.

Rent only, plus applicable sales tax. Damage waiver 12% and environmental fee 5% are added to rent; delivery is by zone.

The 20 ft office family offers three operating configurations on the same jobsite footprint. Base costs $795/mo, Grid-Free costs $1,495/mo and Alpine costs $1,895/mo; selection should follow shore-power access, communications needs and exterior exposure rather than an assumed hierarchy.

The reservation deposit for an office is $750. Under Rental Agreement §2, that payment holds a specific unit and delivery window and applies to the first invoice. Written cancellation received more than 14 days before the window's first day carries no charge, but cancellation within 14 days or refusal of delivery forfeits the deposit.

Every Sun Valley placement has a 12-month minimum under Rental Agreement §3. Rent remains due through that full period even if work finishes early or the unit is not used. Early termination requires the remaining minimum-term rent, pickup fee and accrued charges.

The monthly rate stays fixed for the first twelve months, then increases 5% on each delivery anniversary. Recurring charges bill monthly in advance, and the environmental fee is 5% of rent plus recurring upgrades. Carry those terms against the construction schedule rather than treating the table rate as the complete delivered cost.

A damage waiver is available at 12% of rent plus recurring upgrades. It is not insurance and addresses accidental damage subject to a deductible and exclusions; without it, the customer supplies property insurance for full replacement value and general liability certificates before delivery. The customer also pays sales, use, personal property and similar taxes, or provides a tax-exemption certificate before delivery.

How does the truck reach the Wood River Valley?

Our route mileage places Sun Valley 665 road miles from Gypsum. The truck leaves I-70 at Rifle for CO-13, CO-64 and US-40 through Meeker, Rangely and Vernal to Heber City, takes I-80 and I-15 through Salt Lake City, I-84 west across Idaho's Snake River Plain, US-93 north to Shoshone and ID-75 through Bellevue and Hailey to Ketchum, then turns onto Sun Valley Road.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules let a property-carrying driver drive no more than 11 hours after 10 consecutive hours off duty. JOLT therefore plans the Sun Valley movement as an overnight haul for one driver, but that plan does not establish a promised arrival day. The standard delivery window remains 2–4 weeks from reservation.

The Wood River Valley places Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley along one highway corridor. Idaho State Highway 75 is the Sawtooth Scenic Byway and the only through road in the valley; Friedman Memorial Airport, identified by code SUN, is in Hailey. Active work, winter conditions and community traffic all share this approach.

North of Ketchum, ID-75 passes the Sawtooth National Recreation Area headquarters and climbs to Galena Summit at 8,701 ft before descending toward Stanley, according to the Idaho Transportation Department and USGS. That northern grade does not lie on a delivery ending in Sun Valley, but it matters when a project proposes an onward route or supplier movement beyond town.

Idaho Transportation Department's 511 traveler service provides closure and chain-requirement information. Use it during mobilization planning along with the mountain access delivery guide, then keep the dispatch contact informed if the final approach changes.

The Magic Valley communities of Twin Falls, Jerome and Burley are the last major service area on the route. Many Wood River Valley trades and suppliers also travel from there, so delivery-day staging should account for the same US-93 and ID-75 corridor used by project labor and material trucks.

Container width does not itself require an oversize permit. ISO 668 sets a standard container at 8 ft wide, while 23 CFR 658.15 sets federal legal vehicle width at 8 ft 6 in, or 102 inches. The crew must still review road width, grade, overhead clearance, turning radius and the complete truck configuration described in the answer about container delivery trucks.

Where can a container sit in Ketchum, Sun Valley, Hailey or Bellevue?

All four Wood River Valley towns are in Blaine County, but they do not share one city review desk. Ketchum, Sun Valley, Hailey and Bellevue each conduct planning and building review within city limits, while Blaine County handles unincorporated parcels. Hailey is the county seat.

The customer must obtain permits, zoning clearance, HOA or landlord consent and other required approvals under Rental Agreement §5. Start with the parcel jurisdiction and intended duration, then show the proposed location, access route and use to that authority. JOLT cannot replace local approval with a delivery-zone designation.

Ketchum stands at 5,853 ft according to the City of Ketchum and USGS. Its infill sites can require a smaller storage footprint and tightly managed truck approach, while a Sun Valley estate or resort parcel may put greater weight on exterior appearance. Hailey and Bellevue lots may provide a different staging pattern, but each still needs verified access and its own city review.

The answers on container foundations and placement on a slope help frame the physical questions. For JOLT delivery, the controlling preparation is a firm, level, well-drained surface; a hillside address does not make a sloped set acceptable.

An approved rectangle on a plan is not enough if the truck cannot unload there. Trace the tilt-bed or flatbed from ID-75 or Sun Valley Road through the gate and around structures, then protect its turning and straight-line set area from parked vehicles, excavated material and scheduled deliveries.

Sun Valley Resort's history helps explain why appearance and schedule can both matter near visitor-facing work. The resort hosted the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals from March 22–27, 2025, according to U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Sun Valley Resort. A project tied to an event calendar still receives the standard 2–4 week delivery window; reserve from the actual construction schedule rather than assuming the event changes transport terms.

Use rules remain the same in every jurisdiction. The unit is not a residence and overnight sleeping is prohibited, as are hazardous materials, stacking, welding, cutting, drilling and painting under Rental Agreement §7. A licensed electrician must connect utilities only through provided inlets.

What does the site need on delivery day?

Prepare a firm, level, well-drained set area and a complete truck path. A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance, while a 40 ft unit needs about 100 ft; both also require workable road width, turning radius, grade and overhead clearance. The detailed delivery-space answer can be used during the superintendent's site walk.

Locate and mark utilities before arrival. Walk the route for eaves, limbs, overhead wires, temporary power, fences, stored material and equipment, then compare the final condition with the jobsite setup checklist. A route that worked during excavation may be blocked after framing or landscape work begins.

The customer's designated representative must be present and authorized to direct placement. That person should settle the door direction, window view, electrical route, condenser clearance and truck exit before our driver begins the set. JOLT places the unit where the representative directs, and damage to the site from that directed placement is the customer's responsibility.

If the truck reaches Sun Valley but cannot deliver because of site conditions, access, weather or an absent representative, the delivery fee for that trip remains owed and the next attempt has another delivery fee. Photograph the marked set area and clear approach during the pre-delivery walk, then inspect both again on arrival day.

Plan snow storage at the beginning, even for a summer placement. Plowed snow cannot occupy the retrieval lane, press against doors or block the condenser and access path. Drainage around the level set area must also remain functional through freeze and thaw.

Do not direct the truck onto soft shoulders or an improvised pad simply to clear the road. The representative should stop and resolve a changed site condition rather than accepting a placement that cannot remain level and accessible for the 12-month term.

Once placed, the customer may not lift, tow, transport or move the unit without JOLT's written consent. Unauthorized movement voids the damage waiver. Phase planning should therefore reserve the original location through pickup instead of assuming a site excavator can shift the container later.

How do JOLT units handle a Wood River Valley winter?

The Wood River Valley receives heavy snow and cold nights. Field planning should treat roof clearing, equipment access, drainage and the power source as assigned work, not as conditions addressed only after a storm.

Customers must keep snow, ice and debris clear of roofs, condensers, solar panels, doors and access paths. Under Rental Agreement §8, the customer bears risk of loss from delivery until retrieval, including snow-load damage except where covered by a damage waiver in effect.

The waiver excludes damage caused by failure to remove snow or ice. It also excludes theft, damage from unauthorized movement and upgrade hardware beyond ordinary wear. A superintendent choosing the waiver still needs a named person and workable method for recurring clearing.

The Alpine office combines Grid-Free's camera, Starlink, solar array and 10 kWh battery with backup heat, a standing-seam over-roof and covered entry deck. It requires no shore power. The answer on heating a container office in winter helps distinguish the office heat source from the crew's snow and access duties.

Grid-Free carries a 10 kWh battery able to operate its HVAC without shore power. Its solar and battery performance still depends on sunlight, sky view, weather and load, so panels must remain clear. Do not add the smaller POWER package to a Base office and expect it to run the mini-split.

Ground heaters are trailer-mounted hydronic units with insulated hose on a reel for thawing ground and curing concrete. Light towers provide four LED floodlights on a mast reaching about 30 ft, useful where the winter work plan extends beyond natural daylight.

Place winter equipment so plowing does not isolate it or cover its access. Keep fuel, electricity, water and sewer responsibilities in the project plan, because the customer supplies and pays for those utilities. Inspect rented equipment and report damage or malfunction immediately throughout the season.

Which unit fits which valley job?

Choose the footprint and configuration after identifying the job's daily access, appearance, storage and power constraints. Bald Mountain, known locally as Baldy, reaches a 9,150 ft summit according to Sun Valley Resort; Dollar Mountain is the beginner hill. Those local names clarify where a resort project sits, but the marked placement and operating need determine the unit.

The 10 ft storage container is 10 ft by 8 ft, with a walk-in man door and barred window on the long side plus cargo doors at the end. It carries half the floor area of a 20 ft unit and can suit a constrained Ketchum lot when the required material volume fits.

The 12 ft storage container is 12 ft by 8 ft and adds the same pattern of long-side man door, one barred window and end cargo doors. That daily entrance can work for an estate crew retrieving tools while keeping the cargo opening available for loading.

A 20 ft storage container is a one-trip, standard-height ISO box with four cargo-door lock bars and a welded lockbox. It offers a straightforward material room for housing work in Hailey or Bellevue when the site can preserve about 70 ft of straight truck clearance.

Temporary fence uses 6 ft by 10 ft galvanized chain-link panels, steel tube stands and clamps. It can define a temporary operations edge for an event or race-week scope, but the crew must establish the required line and protect stands from vehicle movements. Event jobsite planning covers the operational distinction between a work perimeter and general crowd management.

CONNECT adds Starlink Mini, a router and a 50 GB Roam plan for an office that has a workable sky view. The explanation of construction-site Starlink cost separates the recurring hardware package from performance conditions, while the ski-resort project page addresses coordination around visitor-facing mountain work.

What does the 12 months look like?

Planning starts with reservation; the rental period itself, and the 12-month minimum with it, runs from the day of delivery. Select the unit from actual access, power and use requirements, submit the Sun Valley address and request a delivery window. The deposit reserves a specific unit and that window and applies to the first invoice.

During the 2–4 weeks from reservation to delivery, obtain the city or county approvals, mark utilities and keep the set area firm, level and drained. Confirm the truck route shortly before arrival because material, snow or another trade can consume the planned approach. The rental sequence gives the project team one checklist from ordering through retrieval.

On delivery day, the designated representative directs the set and confirms the office orientation or storage-door access. From that point until JOLT retrieves it, keep the unit clean and secure, inspect it and immediately report damage or malfunction. The customer bears the risk of loss during that same period.

The first winter requires recurring clearing from the roof, condenser, panels, doors and paths. If the unit carries CONNECT, WATCH or solar equipment, preserve the useful view and provide required recording notices. Satellite, cellular, solar and battery results remain dependent on networks, terrain, weather, sky view, sunlight and load under Rental Agreement §13.

As work moves from one phase to another, protect the placement instead of shifting the unit with project machinery. Keep its power inlet, ventilation equipment and retrieval path clear. At the middle of the term, verify that the project schedule still includes all twelve required months and that the original pickup quote remains in the closeout budget.

At month 12, the minimum term has been satisfied, but the agreement continues month to month until JOLT receives at least 15 days' written pickup notice and completes retrieval. A continuing rental crosses its delivery anniversary and receives the stated rate increase. Compare the town terms with the broader Idaho service page and Zone F schedule if closeout planning covers more than one site.

Before pickup, remove tools, records, food and customer attachments, clean the unit and reopen the same truck path used at delivery. Rent continues until retrieval; a failed pickup trip is charged, and property left inside is deemed abandoned. Pickup uses the written quote established before delivery rather than the outbound delivery charge.
