What does a JOLT office cost per month?

A 20 ft Base office rents for $795/mo on a 3-month minimum, and nothing on this page changes when you get to the reservation flow. Three 20 ft tiers and one 40 ft unit with a bathroom cover every jobsite office JOLT builds, and the difference between them is what is already bolted on when the truck leaves Gypsum.

Base is the working office: a 20 ft ISO container with a 36-inch steel personnel door, two barred slider windows, a wall-mounted mini-split for heat and cooling, lights, outlets, a vinyl-plank floor and a 50-amp shore-power inlet. It is the only unit eligible for JOLT Express because it is the one we keep ready in the yard.

Grid-Free is a Base with the three site upgrades built in — WATCH, CONNECT and POWER — plus a 10 kWh battery pack sized to run the mini-split. No shore power, no generator, no temp-power application. If you priced a Base with the JOLT Pack and then added the HVAC-sized battery, you would land near this number, which is why the tier exists.

Alpine is everything in Grid-Free — the camera, the Starlink kit, the solar array and the battery — inside the mountain envelope: matte black with cedar surrounds, a standing-seam over-roof that carries snow away from the door, a covered entry deck and backup heat. It is the unit for a winter placement above 8,000 ft where the office has to look like it belongs next to the architect's rendering.

The 40 ft office with bathroom is the flagship. It has the same mini-split, lights, outlets and floor as a Base, an enclosed bathroom at the far end, and twice the floor. It rents for $1,595/mo and carries the same $750 reservation deposit as the 20 ft offices.

Every office takes READY furniture, and Base and the 40 ft take the full upgrade list; Grid-Free and Alpine already include WATCH, CONNECT and POWER. The tier is fixed when you reserve, not when the unit ships, so a Base reserved today cannot quietly become an Alpine on delivery day — you would reserve the Alpine instead.

What does a storage container cost per month?

Storage starts at $225/mo for the 10 ft box and tops out at $425/mo for a 40 ft high-cube, and all four sizes are one-trip containers with a welded lockbox over the cargo-door hasps. Storage carries a 1-month minimum except the 40 ft, which carries the same 3-month minimum as the offices.

The 20 ft storage container is the standard jobsite box: cargo doors with four lock bars, no windows, no man door. The 40 ft storage container is 9 ft 6 in tall and gives you twice the floor for about half again the rent, which is the arithmetic behind most 40 ft reservations.

The 12 ft and 10 ft containers are the tight-site boxes. Both have a man door and a barred window on the long side, so they work as a walk-in tool crib rather than a box you climb into through the cargo doors. The 10 ft sits where a 20 ft will not fit — a residential lot in Vail, a lane closure in Breckenridge, a gap between two trailers on a resort job.

Storage containers take upgrades. A WATCH camera on a 20 ft box is the cheapest theft deterrent on the rate card, and it bills on the same invoice as the container.

What does temporary fence cost per foot?

Temporary fence is $3.50/LF/mo with install at $1.75 per linear foot at delivery and removal at $1.75 per linear foot at pickup. Panels are galvanized chain-link, 6 ft tall by 10 ft wide, in steel tube stands with clamps, on a 1-month minimum and a $500 reservation deposit.

Fence is the one thing we rent by the foot instead of by the unit, so it never appears in a "from" headline — the from price on this page is the hand-wash station, and the cheapest container is the 10 ft box, not a run of fence. To turn a site perimeter into a number, measure the run, round up to the next 10 ft panel, and multiply by the three per-foot rates. The fence-panel answer page has a calculator that does it for you; the temporary fence page covers wind, privacy screen and OSHA.

What do light towers, ground heaters, traffic control and hand-wash stations cost?

A light tower rents for $1,250/mo, a ground heater for $1,450/mo in season, traffic control from $495/mo and a hand-wash station for $85/mo, all on a 1-month minimum. These are the units that make a container office a working site rather than a box on a pad, and they deliver on the same truck when they ship with a unit.

The light tower is trailer-mounted with a mast to about 30 ft and four LED floodlights over a generator cabinet. The ground heater is a trailer-mounted hydronic unit with insulated hose on a reel; it thaws ground and cures concrete through a mountain winter, and its rent is an in-season figure because that is the only season anyone rents one.

Traffic control ships as three packages. Basic is 25 cones, 6 Type II barricades and 2 sign stands. Standard is 50 cones, 10 Type III barricades, 8 vertical panels, 4 sign stands and 2 flagger paddles. Full is everything in Standard plus a solar arrow board and 2 flashing barricade lights. Pieces come out of one pool of 400, so the availability badge on the traffic control page counts how many complete packages are free, not how many cones.

What do JOLT Upgrades cost?

Upgrades run from $129/mo for a camera to $699/mo for the Pack, and each one bills monthly on the same invoice as the rent. Every kit bolts on in the yard before delivery and comes off at pickup, so there is nothing to install and nothing to return separately.

Upgrades stack on any office or storage container and bill monthly with the rent.

WATCH is a solar-powered LTE panoramic camera on the unit's corner — motion alerts to your phone, cloud clips, night vision, and no WiFi needed because it carries its own SIM. A second camera covers the other side of the site for $60/mo.

CONNECT is a Starlink Mini on the roof and a router inside, on a 50 GB Roam plan, so the office has internet the day it lands. Unlimited data is $75/mo on top.

POWER is two 400 W panels on a roof rack, a 3 kWh LFP battery and an inverter, sized to run Starlink, the camera, LED lights, laptops and phones for two days with no sun. It does not run the mini-split; the Grid-Free tier carries the bigger pack that does.

READY is the furniture: a folding plan table, two chairs, a whiteboard wall, a mini-fridge, a microwave and a 1,500 W backup wall heater with a thermostat.

The JOLT Pack is WATCH, CONNECT and POWER together, and the table shows the saving against the three lines bought separately. Upgrades stack on Base and 40 ft offices and storage containers — not on fence or equipment — and Grid-Free and Alpine already include the three that make up the Pack. The upgrades page has the full spec of each kit.

What does delivery cost from Gypsum?

Delivery is a flat fee by zone, from $400 each way in Zone A to $1,200 each way in Zone E, on our own truck from the yard at 60 Spring Creek Rd. There is no mileage line, no fuel line and no "call for a quote" inside the five Colorado zones; the fee is the fee.

Delivery zones, fees and towns

Zone AGypsum, Eagle, Edwards, Avon, Beaver Creek$400$400
Zone BVail, Minturn, Glenwood Springs$550$550
Zone CBreckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, Keystone, Carbondale, Basalt, Aspen, Snowmass$750$750
Zone DSteamboat Springs, Leadville, Grand Junction$950$950
Zone EIdaho Springs, Georgetown, Evergreen, Golden, Morrison, Lakewood, Arvada, Aurora, Centennial, Littleton, Boulder, Castle Rock, Denver$1,200$1,200
Zone F — Mountain West12-month minimumWY, ID, UT, MT$1,795Pickup quoted separately before delivery

Zones A through E are priced each way — delivery when the unit lands, pickup when it leaves — as two separate lines on your account. Zone F — Mountain West (Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana) is priced differently: $1,795 for delivery, pickup quoted in writing before the truck rolls, and a 12-month minimum term, because a 500-mile move only makes sense on a placement that stays put. Every town in a zone is listed on the delivery zones page with its drive distance from the yard, and every town page shows its own fee above the fold.

Two delivery figures sit outside the zone table. JOLT Express puts a Base office on site within 7 business days instead of the standard 2–4 week window for $750 on top of the zone fee, paid at reservation and available on the Base tier only. On-site relocation — moving a unit to a new spot on the same site with our truck — is $450 per move. Moving a unit yourself is not a fee; it is a breach of the Rental Agreement and it voids the damage waiver, so call us.

What do you pay up front?

The reservation deposit is the standard money that moves before delivery: $750 on an office or 40 ft storage container, $350 on a smaller storage container and $500 on fence. The deposit locks a specific unit and a delivery window, and it is applied to your first invoice rather than held on top of it. Two things can join it before the truck rolls: the JOLT Express fee, which is paid at reservation, and the refundable security deposit if you choose it instead of the damage waiver.

How does protection work?

Every rental carries one of two protections, and the default is a damage waiver at 12% of monthly rent plus recurring upgrades. The alternative is a refundable security deposit of one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance; section 10 of the Rental Agreement Terms states who is named and the limits. You pick one at reservation.

Recurring percentage lines
Damage waiver12% of rent + recurring upgrades, monthly
Environmental fee5% of rent + recurring upgrades, monthly; not compounded on the waiver
Annual escalator5% on each anniversary of the delivery date
Waiver alternativeRefundable deposit of one month's rent + certificate of insurance

The waiver has a per-incident deductible and a list of exclusions, and both are stated in section 12 of the Rental Agreement Terms — read that section, because it governs. The environmental fee is 5% of the same base and appears on every invoice; it is published here so that no line on your statement is a surprise. The annual escalator is 5% on each anniversary of delivery, which means a job shorter than a year never sees it.

Sales tax is the one number this page cannot print. Colorado taxes equipment rental and delivery, the rate depends on the job address, and it is calculated from that address at checkout and on each invoice. Every figure on this page is before tax.

What if you want to own it?

Any 20 ft office build can be leased to own over 24 or 36 months, with title transferring on the final payment; a Base office runs $1,145/mo or $845/mo, and the Grid-Free and Alpine plans are in the table. The lease-to-own page has the full terms; the short version is that the payments replace rent, the upgrades keep billing after the title transfers, and the Addendum that governs it is a separate document from the Rental Agreement.

The 20 ft purchase page and the 40 ft purchase page walk through the rent-versus-buy break-even; the answer page on the break-even does the arithmetic for a plain storage box.

Which numbers are not on this page?

Three kinds of charges are not in the tables, and here is where each one lives. Charges you control — waiting time when the truck arrives and cannot deliver, cleaning when a unit comes back dirty, keys, missing clamps and stands — are stated with their amounts in the Rental Agreement Terms, and the way to never pay one is in how it works. Quotes — pickup from Zone F, delivery outside the published zones, sale delivery outside Zones A and B — are written and sent before anything is charged, never guessed. Tax is calculated by address at checkout.

Everything else that can be charged on a JOLT account is a line in the tables above, and the prices in those tables are read from the same file the reservation flow and the invoices read. When a rate changes, it changes everywhere at once, and this page is the record. If a competitor's quote is lower, it is worth checking that it includes delivery both ways, a waiver and the upgrades before comparing — the JOLT versus WillScot comparison shows how to read a quote line by line.

Questions contractors ask

Are these prices the same ones I pay in the reservation flow?

Yes. The website, the reservation flow and the invoice read the same price list, so the number you see here is the number Stripe charges. Sales tax is added at checkout where Colorado requires it.

Is there a monthly minimum on rent?

Offices and the 40 ft storage container carry a 3-month minimum; every other storage container, fence, light tower, ground heater, traffic package and hand-wash station carries a 1-month minimum. After the minimum the rental runs month to month.

What is the cheapest thing JOLT rents?

The 10 ft storage container at $225 per month is the lowest-rent container in the fleet; the only cheaper monthly line is the hand-wash station at $85. Fence is $3.50 per linear foot per month, which is cheaper per unit but is not a per-month price for a whole unit.

Does the delivery fee include pickup?

No. Zones A through E are priced each way, so a Zone B job pays $550 to deliver and $550 to pick up. Zone F pays $1,795 for delivery and gets a written pickup quote before the truck rolls.

How much is the reservation deposit and do I get it back?

Offices and the 40 ft storage container are $750, the smaller storage containers are $350, fence is $500, light towers are $500, ground heaters are $1,000, traffic control is $350 and a hand-wash station ordered alone is $85. The deposit is applied to your first invoice, and it is refunded in full if you cancel more than 14 days before the first day of your delivery window.

What does the damage waiver cost?

The damage waiver is 12% of your monthly rent plus any recurring upgrades, billed monthly with the rent. The alternative is a refundable security deposit of one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance.

Is there an environmental fee?

Yes, 5% of rent plus recurring upgrades, on every invoice. It is not compounded on the damage waiver.

Do prices go up during a long rental?

Rates rise 5% on each anniversary of your delivery date unless your Order says otherwise. A 9-month job never sees the escalator; a 2-year rental sees it once.

Can I get a discount for a long term or several units?

The published rate is the rate. Longer terms earn value through the JOLT Pack, which saves $88 a month against buying its three upgrades separately, and through lease-to-own on the 20 ft office, where the payments end in ownership.

How do I get a written quote?

The price sheet on this page is the quote. If you want it in writing with your job address and zone on it, call 970-279-1015 or send the four-field form on the contact page and it goes to reserve@joltrents.com; you get the same numbers back with a delivery window.
