Delivery zones, fees and windows from our Gypsum yard

How are the six zones drawn?

Delivery from the Gypsum yard starts at $400 each way, and six fixed zones carry that route structure across Colorado and the Mountain West. Your physical job address sets the zone; your company headquarters, billing address and project manager's home do not.

The yard is at 60 Spring Creek Rd in Gypsum, directly on the I-70 corridor between Denver and Grand Junction. That location gives the truck a practical starting point for eastbound, westbound and mountain highway runs. The zones group drive legs with similar dispatch demands rather than charging a fluctuating mileage rate. Zone A covers the nearby Eagle County corridor west of Vail Pass: Gypsum, Eagle, Edwards, Avon and Beaver Creek. Zone B covers Vail, Minturn, Wolcott and Glenwood Springs. The towns sit on different sides of the yard, but each is a defined Zone B run.

Zone C combines Summit County with the Roaring Fork Valley. It includes Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne and Keystone to the east, plus Carbondale, Basalt, Aspen and Snowmass to the south and west. Zone D contains the longer Colorado legs to Steamboat Springs, Leadville, Grand Junction and Buena Vista.

Zone E reaches the I-70 foothills and Denver metro. It starts with Idaho Springs and Georgetown, continues through Evergreen, Golden and Morrison, and covers the listed metro addresses through Denver, Boulder, Aurora, Centennial and Castle Rock. Zone F is the Mountain West program for Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana. It uses different pickup and minimum-term rules, explained below.

The table is the published assignment for every named town. A distance is useful for planning the day, but it does not override the zone. For example, Minturn and Vail are both Zone B even though their road distances differ. Likewise, an address in Aspen and one in Breckenridge both use Zone C.

What does each zone cost, and what does “each way” mean?

For Zones A–E, “each way” means the same published fee applies once when the unit is delivered and again when it is picked up. Those are two separate service legs and two separate invoice lines. A Zone B delivery is Zone B — $550 each way, while a Denver delivery is $1,200 each way in Zone E.

The delivery line pays for the run from 60 Spring Creek Rd to the prepared job address. The pickup line pays for the return trip when the rental ends. It does not mean one payment covers a round trip, and it does not hide pickup inside monthly rent. This matters when you compare a container quote: keep rent, outbound delivery and eventual pickup on separate lines.

Every Colorado town and road distance in the catalog appears below. Distances are road miles from the yard, not straight-line measurements. They help your superintendent understand the truck's route and help the crew plan a realistic arrival day. They are not multiplied by a per-mile rate.

The shortest route is not always the simplest placement. A close site can still have a narrow turn, a steep final approach or no room to unload. A longer interstate run can have a clean staging lane and straightforward placement. The zone fee prices the dispatch leg; site readiness determines whether the driver can finish that leg safely. Town pages put the same fee into local context. Check Gypsum, Eagle, Avon, Glenwood Springs, Frisco, Silverthorne, Carbondale or Steamboat Springs without having to recalculate anything.

What is different about Zone F — Mountain West?

Zone F covers Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana with a published delivery fee of $1,795. Pickup is Pickup quoted separately before delivery, and that amount is put in writing before delivery. Every Zone F rental carries a 12-month minimum term.

Those three terms work together. A long outbound truck run has a known delivery line. The return leg depends on the pickup point, route and timing many months later, so we do not invent that amount at reservation. Instead, you receive the written pickup quote before the unit rolls from Gypsum. You know the delivery charge, pickup terms and minimum commitment before the equipment is placed.

The listed Zone F towns are Jackson, Sun Valley, Park City, Bozeman and Big Sky. The state pages explain the broader programs for Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana.

Do not treat Zone F as Zone E with more mileage. Zone E has the same published charge on delivery and pickup, while Zone F publishes the outbound charge and quotes pickup separately. Zone F also raises the minimum term to 12 months regardless of the unit's ordinary category minimum. If the project schedule cannot support that term, say so before reserving.

The project address still controls. A contractor headquartered in Denver with a Park City site is ordering a Zone F delivery, not Zone E. A Montana billing office with a Colorado job address uses the Colorado zone assigned to that job.

How do delivery windows work?

The standard delivery window is 2–4 weeks from reservation for every rental unit. We confirm a delivery date inside that window after the unit, truck route and site access are lined up. Rent starts on delivery, not when you reserve.

A window is not a promise that every road condition will stay unchanged. Winter weather, chain restrictions, pass closures and unsafe final approaches can move the confirmed date, occasionally past the window. That is especially important on routes over Vail Pass, toward Summit County, into the Roaring Fork Valley or across a steep local road. We coordinate changes by phone or email rather than sending a driver into a closed or unsafe route.

How it works takes the order from reservation through pickup. At reservation, choose the unit and provide the physical job ZIP. We use that address to assign the zone and review the delivery window. Before delivery, your crew prepares access and the placement area. A representative must be present when the truck arrives.

JOLT Express is the only faster published option. For $750, a Base 20 ft office container can be on site within 7 business days instead of the standard window. Express is paid at reservation and applies only to the Base office. It does not apply to Grid-Free, Alpine, a 40 ft office, storage, fence or equipment.

Express changes the schedule, not the zone. The applicable delivery fee still follows the job address, and the site still has to meet the same access rules. A narrow road or unprepared pad does not become workable because the order is expedited. If the Base office and schedule fit, select them in the reservation process; if they do not, use the standard window.

What does the truck need at your site?

The truck needs a firm, level, well-drained placement surface and a clear, straight unloading line. Plan on about 70 ft of straight-line access for a 20 ft unit and about 100 ft for a 40 ft unit. JOLT uses a tilt-bed or flatbed truck, and the unit must travel through the approach before it can be set where you marked it.

Overhead clearance matters for the truck, the raised bed and the container. Look for power lines, branches, eaves and temporary construction that may cross the unloading path. Width at the gate is only one part of the check. The driver also needs room to line up, back straight and leave after placement.

The customer must locate and mark utilities, obtain required permits and consents, and have a representative present at delivery. The representative should know the approved orientation, door direction and exact placement point. A last-minute change from one side of the site to another can create a new access problem even when both spots look open.

If the truck cannot complete a trip because the site is not ready, the trip charge is stated in section 5 of the Rental Agreement Terms. The prevention is simple: verify the route, surface, utility marks, overhead space and on-site representative before the delivery date.

What if your job is outside the published zones?

An address outside the published zones gets a written delivery quote before anything is charged. We do not force an unlisted ZIP into the nearest zone, estimate a fee from a map or ask you to accept an open-ended delivery line.

Enter the physical job ZIP in the reservation flow. If it does not resolve to a published zone, the flow stops at the delivery line and sends the request to us for a quote. Your name, mobile number, what you need and job ZIP are enough to start; the rent, deposit and upgrade lines are already known, and only the transportation line waits for the address-specific quote.

The quote uses the actual destination and route. This distinction matters for rural addresses, county roads and projects outside a named town. A familiar mailing city does not prove the truck is going to the town center, and a billing ZIP does not describe the job. Give the address where the unit will sit.

Nothing else changes simply because delivery needs a quote. The unit still has its published rent, reservation deposit, ordinary minimum term and standard window unless a published zone rule changes it. Sales tax is added by job address at checkout. If the destination is in Zone F, the published Zone F delivery and 12-month minimum apply, with pickup quoted in writing before delivery.

Is pickup the same fee as delivery?

Yes for Zones A–E: pickup uses the same zone fee as delivery. Zone F is the exception because its pickup is quoted in writing before delivery. In every zone, pickup is a separate leg rather than part of the outbound delivery payment.

After the minimum term, the rental runs month to month until you provide 15 days' written notice of pickup and we retrieve the unit. Notice starts the coordination; rent runs until the truck takes the unit, and notice does not make an inaccessible unit ready to load. Keep the route open, remove obstructions around the unit and have the site prepared for the truck's return.

Pickup is based on the unit's location. If a unit must move to another spot on the same site during the rental, JOLT can perform an on-site relocation for $450 per move. Call first so we can check the route and place the move on the schedule. Do not move the container yourself.

A relocation is not pickup. It is a separate truck service while the rental remains active. Likewise, moving to a different job address is not automatically an on-site relocation; the new address can change the route, zone and site review. Put the requested move in writing and let us classify it before work begins.

When the rental is done, follow the pickup process in how it works and the controlling terms in section 16 of the Rental Agreement. If a trip fails because access is blocked or the unit is not ready, section 5 controls the charge.

Which zone is a Denver contractor building in the mountains in?

The mountain job address sets the zone, even when the contractor, architect and billing department are all in Denver. A Denver project manager sending a unit to a Vail job uses Zone B, so the delivery leg is Zone B — $550 each way. The Denver office address does not turn that Vail placement into Zone E.

The reverse is also true. A mountain contractor placing a unit at a Denver job uses Zone E. The identity of the renter does not change the truck's route. Use the address where the driver will unload and where the unit will remain.

This rule keeps estimates consistent across multi-project accounts. A superintendent can price a Vail phase, a Keystone phase and a Golden phase from the same published table. Each job gets its own zone and each unit gets one invoice. There is no blended fleetwide delivery rate based on the main office.

If the job sits near a town boundary or the postal city does not describe the final approach, submit the exact address rather than choosing the zone yourself. The reservation flow checks the ZIP first, and we review the destination before dispatch. For an unlisted location, we write the quote instead of guessing.
