A rented generator, fuel runs and noise all day. Our estimate for a Base office run on a generator, with fuel runs, internet and a camera, is $2,308 a month.
What JOLT changes
Grid-Free carries roof solar, a 10 kWh battery, Starlink and a camera. The battery runs the heat and A/C. $1,495 a month. Nothing to refuel.
Crews cool off in idling trucks. Afternoons slow down. Plans and laptops sit on the dash.
What JOLT changes
Every office has a mini-split for cooling and heat. Grid-Free runs it from its own battery.
Tools that walk off at night
What it costs you
Equipment theft costs U.S. contractors an estimated $300 million to $1 billion a year (National Equipment Register and NICB). Most of it is never recovered.
What JOLT changes
One-trip steel storage with a welded lockbox. WATCH adds a solar LTE camera with motion alerts for $129 a month. It comes built in on Grid-Free and Alpine.

What JOLT changes
A clean, lit office with a plan table (READY), Starlink for plans, email and video calls, and your logo on the door.
We help you plan the placement. Here is what Arkansas asks for. Begin with the actual parcel and its controlling authority. A Barling bridge approach differs from a Little Rock airport worksite. On an Arkansas plan, distinguish occupied office space from the tool area. Identify who approves construction use of each rectangle. Take the plan to the relevant local building and planning offices. We can compare unit lengths against the approved area. Keep the recorded answer with the project site plan. An Arkansas mailing address alone cannot identify the correct zoning desk. The proposed occupied use matters as much as the container's dimensions.
On a private lot
The Arkansas State Fire Marshal's Office maintains the Arkansas Fire Prevention Code. For state projects, 22 CAR § 111-407 identifies that code as the adopted building code. It also notes that other standards may apply to individual projects. Ask the local building desk about an occupied temporary office. Describe its power connection and anticipated use. Ask the planning desk about a separate construction-storage position. Show the approved parking and access arrangement. A state code framework does not identify a particular parcel's allowed use. Get that answer from the site's actual jurisdiction.
In Little Rock, the Planning and Development applications list distinguishes planned zoning, conditional use and special use. Ask Planning which review applies to your specific construction site. Give staff the parcel number and intended office position. Show whether the worksite is already under an approved site plan. Ask whether adding a field office changes that plan. A downtown renovation might have less private space than its street address suggests. The Little Rock placement page covers that city's separate questions. Outside Little Rock, identify the relevant city or county office. Ask that office about land use before finalizing the Arkansas pad.
For the I-49 Arkansas River Bridge, ask the prime to mark its authorized laydown area. The August 2025 ARDOT announcement identifies a Barling approach and Gun Club Road ramps. Those are public project features, not a specific subcontractor's allocated pad. Show the construction controller both the office and storage footprints. Ask whether later ramp work will affect the position. If the parcel crosses an access easement, identify its controller. Keep occupied office review distinct from tool storage review. A 40 ft office needs more approved space than a 20 ft office. We can compare those choices once the designated area is clear.
On a street or sidewalk
The Little Rock Public Works department maintains city streets and traffic systems. Ask its street staff about a proposed curb, lane or sidewalk position. Show whether the unit remains there or only uses space briefly. Little Rock's planning applications separately list right-of-way abandonment. Ask Public Works about temporary occupation instead. Give Public Works a drawing of the actual frontage. Mark nearby pedestrian entrances and existing loading use. If the parcel offers a private staging area, compare that option. Ask Planning about the private footprint separately. Keep both answers with the Little Rock site plan.
Along the I-49 extension, identify who controls the proposed approach road. The ARDOT bridge description names the Gun Club Road interchange ramps. Ask the relevant road authority about any proposed public-space occupation. Permission from a project prime applies to its allocated site, not every road edge. Mark the difference between public right-of-way and private laydown. At a municipal Arkansas project, contact that municipality's street desk. At a county frontage, first identify the road's controller. Explain the intended position and duration of any public-space use. A lawful private pad can simplify the question. We can compare a shorter box if the approved area is tight.
For an airport assignment, ask the airport project authority about controlled access. The Clinton National Airport improvement update describes parking and geothermal wellfield work. Ask the airport manager to identify its authorized work area. If a city street is also involved, take that distinct position to Public Works. Draw each boundary rather than relying on a single address. The airport's curbside canopy is listed as complete. A current site plan should reflect the actual contracted package. Keep the approved position available to the project contact. Review access again when the airport work phase changes.
HOA and deed restrictions
An Arkansas HOA may restrict a driveway office or visible storage box. Ask the association about the actual footprint and duration. A landlord may require separate consent on commercial property. Mark private easements on the parcel drawing. A Little Rock apartment renovation might share access with residents. Ask the owner which entrances must remain usable. Get that answer before sizing the office. Keep the private decision beside the municipal land-use response. A deed restriction may concern appearance even where a building desk accepts the office. Tell us the available rectangle after those limits are drawn.
For an Arkansas appearance review, Alpine has matte-black and cedar surrounds. Its covered entry deck affects the proposed Arkansas footprint. Show those features to an Arkansas property manager reviewing appearance. Ask how the deck affects the approved placement area. On a Barling construction parcel, the prime's site rules may matter more than HOA rules. Record who can approve changes to the laydown area. A Little Rock commercial lease may define permitted outside storage separately. Ask the landlord about both the office and tool box. Keep the parcel controller's decision available throughout a longer job. We can compare a 10 ft box if the storage limit narrows.
Getting the site ready
At Barling or Little Rock, prepare a firm, level and well-drained pad. Draw the approach from the legal entrance to the resting position. Note overhead lines, buried utilities and drainage crossings. At the Barling approach, mark any changing ramp work. At Clinton National Airport, identify the authorized gate in the site plan. A downtown Little Rock pad may be accessible only through a narrow opening. Measure that opening against the unit's proposed position. Keep other occupants' entrances clear. Identify the person authorized to point out the approved location. Review the same access after excavation or new paving changes the site.
On an Arkansas staging parcel, a 10 ft storage box can replace a longer box. Its man door and barred window suit walk-in access. The 12 ft storage crib also has a man door and window. The 20 ft one-trip storage unit has cargo doors and a welded lockbox. Its cargo doors carry four lock bars for Arkansas tools. Check overhead clearance for the 40 ft high-cube, which is 9 ft 6 in tall. Compare Arkansas site clearance against that height. At a powered Little Rock position, Base has a 50-amp inlet. Ask the site's electrician about the shore connection. Describe any enclosed bathroom when proposing a 40 ft office.
Where JOLT fits best
The I-49 bridge announcement projected completion in early 2029 when issued in 2025. A contractor with a year-plus bridge package may need a steady field workspace. Keep plans in the approved office position near the assigned Barling work area. Place locked tools in a separately approved storage box. JOLT's office and storage choices can serve the same Barling package. Tell our project desk which units the I-49 contract needs. Ask the prime whether the laydown area survives later approach work. A 12 ft walk-in crib may preserve circulation beside the office. Keep the Gun Club Road ramp work in the access discussion.
At Clinton National Airport, the owner update lists additional parking and geothermal work in progress. An authorized long-term package may need a field office and tool storage. Ask the airport controller to identify its staging rectangle. A Grid-Free office can suit a stage without shore service. A 20 ft locked box serves separate cargo storage. The airport's controlled entrance determines which area is actually useful. Tell the project desk about both proposed units. A public project announcement cannot grant a particular contractor access. Use the signed site plan, not the airport's entire campus, for placement.
Built for Arkansas weather
NOAA's Little Rock Adams Field 1991–2020 normals show a July average high of 91.7 °F. The January average low there is 30.9 °F. Monthly precipitation normals sum to 50.42 inches annually. Those figures describe the capital's station, not every Arkansas county. Barling and Little Rock sites have different surfaces and access conditions. Ask the owner where rain crosses the proposed office pad. Keep an Arkansas storage position away from standing water. A paved airport parcel still needs its own drainage review. A bridge approach can change grade during construction. Reassess the prepared surface as the job progresses.
On a power-ready Little Rock parcel, Base has a mini-split for cooling and heating. Its 50-amp shore-power inlet needs an appropriate site connection. Grid-Free needs no shore power on an early I-49 phase. I-49 crews get WATCH camera, CONNECT Starlink and POWER solar built in. Its 10 kWh battery runs HVAC; Arkansas sun and load affect output. Ask about shade from bridge structures around the proposed position. At an airport wellfield site, show the future construction boundary. A sunny position today may change when the work advances. Match the office choice to the actual Arkansas power plan.
For Arkansas winter entries, Alpine adds backup heat and a covered entry deck. A standing-seam over-roof accompanies those features. At Little Rock Adams Field, January's normal low makes winter comfort relevant. Ask the local building official about the occupied temporary position. If floodplain requirements affect a river-adjacent site, consult its floodplain administrator. Discuss any anchorage or elevation question with that authority. Keep the emergency plan with the project's own safety team. Position the storage box where people can reach it after rain. Weather planning starts with the actual pad and work sequence.
The 40 ft office with bathroom includes mini-split heating and cooling. Its enclosed bathroom is at the far end. It has a 50-amp inlet for shore power. A Barling crew considering that larger office needs enough authorized area. A Little Rock downtown site might favor a shorter 20 ft office. The 20 ft cargo box secures materials behind a welded lockbox. Keep that box distinct from an occupied office. Select its position with the parcel controller. Revisit both rectangles if Arkansas rain changes usable ground. The local building desk can answer the occupied-use question.
How we built this page: rent, upgrade and delivery figures come from the JOLT catalog at build time. Permit, street, HOA and weather facts are linked to their sources in the text. Written and reviewed by Lisa Tanner.
Every 20 ft office has heat and A/C, lights, outlets, a vinyl-plank floor, a 36-inch steel door and two barred windows. Grid-Free adds roof solar, a 10 kWh battery, Starlink and a camera. Offices rent from $795 a month.
Can the office run before the site has power?
Yes. Grid-Free runs its heat and A/C, lights, outlets and Starlink from roof solar and a 10 kWh battery. Output depends on sun and load. It rents for $1,495 a month.
Can we put our logo on it?
Yes. BRAND applies your logo in 24 by 48 inch vinyl on two sides of the unit. $450, one time.
Do I need a permit for a jobsite office in Arkansas?
Yes, an Arkansas occupied field office may need local building and land-use approval. The State Fire Marshal maintains the Arkansas Fire Prevention Code; 22 CAR § 111-407 identifies its adoption for state projects. Ask the building and planning desks for the actual parcel about temporary occupancy, power and placement. On a state project, also consult its controlling authority.
Can the office sit on a Arkansas street?
Only if the Arkansas road authority approves that specific public-space position. In Little Rock, ask Public Works about curb, lane or sidewalk use and distinguish unloading from leaving an office there. For a state-highway frontage, identify the relevant road authority before proposing occupation. Little Rock Planning and Development handles the separate private-parcel use question.
What does the site need before delivery?
A firm, level pad, a clear path for the truck, and a person on site to show the driver where it goes. Tell us about gates, slopes and overhead lines when you ask for the quote.
