What it costs you

Crews cool off in idling trucks. Afternoons slow down. Plans and laptops sit on the dash.

What JOLT changes

Every office has a mini-split for cooling and heat. Grid-Free runs it from its own battery.

Tools that walk off at night

What it costs you

Equipment theft costs U.S. contractors an estimated $300 million to $1 billion a year (National Equipment Register and NICB). Most of it is never recovered.

What JOLT changes

One-trip steel storage with a welded lockbox. WATCH adds a solar LTE camera with motion alerts for $129 a month. It comes built in on Grid-Free and Alpine.

Nowhere to meet the owner or the inspector

What it costs you

Walkthroughs happen on a tailgate. Plans ride on a truck seat.

What JOLT changes

A clean, lit office with a plan table (READY), Starlink for plans, email and video calls, and your logo on the door.

Placing an office in Atlanta

We help you plan the placement. Here is what Atlanta asks for. Start with a drawing of the actual parcel. Identify the office, storage position and access gate. A downtown curb is different from an interior construction compound. Mark the city boundary before choosing a permit desk. An Atlanta mailing address can describe property outside city limits. Tell us which portion of the site the owner controls. An occupied office needs its own use description. Bring that description to building and zoning reviewers.

On a private lot

The Georgia construction-code list identifies the amended 2024 International Building Code. Georgia's mandatory codes also include the 2024 International Fire Code. Ask Atlanta building reviewers how those codes apply to your occupied temporary office. Give them its footprint, proposed use and electrical plan. Ask the city where the temporary-use review begins. Bring any existing construction permit and site plan. Ask whether fire or accessibility review also applies. A storage box needs a distinct land-use description.

Ask the Atlanta reviewer which code edition governs the actual proposal. Contact city zoning staff about the parcel's proposed use. Describe the office, storage, screening and proposed position. Ask whether an existing approved plan needs updating. Downtown pavement can serve required circulation rather than storage. An East Lake station-adjacent lot can have another owner. Get the property owner's agreement before identifying a candidate pad.

At an Atlanta postal address beyond the city boundary, contact county reviewers. The Georgia overview explains the statewide building-code baseline. Fulton County land outside Atlanta may use another zoning authority. Verify the municipal boundary against the site map. Ask the county building desk about an occupied office there. Ask the road authority about any public frontage. A city street application will not answer the county question. Share the reviewed footprint with the project manager. We can compare storage lengths against the position that remains available.

On a street or sidewalk

Atlanta's Public Right-of-Way Manual, Section 3.6 requires a permit for containers on city right-of-way. Appendix K requests a location sketch with barricades and reflectors. It lists insurance documentation and a provider compliance agreement. Ask the Atlanta Department of Transportation about your specific stationary proposal. Mark the sidewalk, curb and neighboring entries. Show where an occupied office would remain. Ask whether that use fits the public-space process. Keep the answer with the Atlanta site drawing.

A 30303 loading zone may border a narrow sidewalk. A private pad behind the building poses another question. Draw the parcel line across the proposed footprint. Describe a temporary curb stop separately from ongoing occupation. Ask the Atlanta transportation desk which activity needs review. The Georgia DOT oversize page concerns movement rather than stationary city use. On an airport-owned site, ask the project owner about the authorized compound. At a BeltLine-adjacent parcel, check whose land lies beside the trail. City street approval does not grant use of neighboring property.

HOA and deed restrictions

Ask an Atlanta landlord where a temporary office may sit. A commercial lease may limit outside storage. Give the landlord the same drawing you gave zoning. An Atlanta residential association may review visibility and duration. Show its committee the actual office finish if appearance matters. For a BeltLine-facing property, Alpine's matte black envelope includes cedar surrounds. Draw its covered entry deck on the approved pad. Mark deed easements crossing a driveway. A private answer complements the building and street decisions. Keep every approval connected to the exact Atlanta location.

At an East Lake renovation, a shared drive may serve several tenants. Ask the owner which spaces must remain clear. A 10 ft storage unit fits where a 20 ft cannot. That difference can preserve valuable private circulation. At a BeltLine-facing renovation, ask who controls any proposed trail-side laydown. A vacant-looking strip may be outside the leased parcel. Put the association or landlord's response beside the city determination. We can review another approved position if the first conflicts with covenants. An attractive Alpine exterior cannot replace landowner consent.

Getting the site ready

At a downtown Atlanta site, mark the gate and pad. Prepare firm, level ground with practical drainage. Record overhead lines and nearby parked vehicles. Keep building entrances and pedestrian paths visible on the drawing. A frontage may change during a renovation. Check whether finished walkways will cross the office position. At a westside road site, note future pavement stages. Keep the chosen office outside the next work face. Ask the project manager to identify the lasting staging area.

For a narrow Atlanta compound, 10 ft storage brings a man door and barred window. In East Lake, the 12 ft tool crib makes another walk-in option. Its barred window faces the long side. For larger material storage, 20 ft one-trip storage has cargo doors and a lockbox. The 40 ft high cube has a longer footprint. Draw each candidate beside the office. Base needs shore power through a 50-amp inlet. Ask an Atlanta site electrician about that connection. Give the 40 ft bathroom office its own utility plan.

Where JOLT fits best

Georgia DOT's I-285 Westside Rebuild covers three pavement projects in Fulton and Cobb. Construction began in early 2026. A year-spanning westside contract can call for a stable office. Tools also need their own locked position away from changing work faces. Tell our project desk about both units. The office and box can come from the same fleet. Grid-Free needs no shore connection near an unfinished power run. At I-285, its 10 kWh battery runs HVAC. Solar output depends on the available sun and office load. Choose storage around the site's approved staging rectangle.

An Atlanta airport-area contract needs the property owner's staging consent. Ask the airport project owner about controlled contractor space. A 40 ft bathroom office may fit a long authorized work area. A separate storage unit can keep tools under lock. An airport access rule is different from an Atlanta curb rule. Tell us which position and utility connections are available. The I-285 example instead concerns Georgia DOT roadway work.

Built for Atlanta weather

NOAA's Atlanta Hartsfield 1991–2020 normals record a 90.1 °F average July high. At Atlanta Hartsfield, the January average low is 35.6 °F. Annual precipitation totals 50.43 inches. Average annual snowfall is 2.2 inches. These airport readings inform Atlanta site planning. They do not describe every infill parcel. For a powered downtown compound, Base has mini-split heat and cooling. On that downtown pad, its lights and outlets use shore power. Plan that connection with the site's electrician.

An early BeltLine work area might lack available shore power. Grid-Free contains roof solar, a camera and Starlink. On that trail-area pad, its 10 kWh battery runs HVAC. Office load and available sun determine solar output. Ask where the approved BeltLine-area office pad will be. Mark drainage away from the position. Rain can change a compact work compound quickly. Leave existing runoff paths available. Select the office around actual power availability, not Atlanta's annual average alone.

For a visitor-facing Atlanta site, Alpine offers an over-roof and covered entry. It also adds backup heat to Grid-Free's features. Its matte black and cedar finish may interest a design-conscious property owner. Show that exterior to the person approving the space. A planned Atlanta pad still needs drainage. The 20 ft storage container has a welded lockbox and four lock bars. At an Atlanta compound, position the cargo doors for practical access within the approved compound. Keep stored materials away from ponding ground.

Summer rain can complicate a MARTA-area rehabilitation site. A 12 ft walk-in box may work on limited private space. A 40 ft high cube takes a longer planned footprint. Discuss both against the owner's marked site plan. The 40 ft office provides an enclosed bathroom at the far end. Its mini-split also handles heat and cooling. Ask about the site's utility plan before choosing that office. Keep the sidewalk and station access in the position drawing. Atlanta's street manual applies whenever the proposed stationary footprint crosses public space.

Who rents JOLT offices in Atlanta

Westside pavement crews

The I-285 Westside Rebuild description includes pavement reconstruction across Fulton and Cobb. Roadway work can move the active staging edge. Ask the project owner for a durable compound position. A Grid-Free office serves a pad without shore power. The westside site's sun and HVAC load affect solar output. Add a locked 20 ft box if the approved area permits it. Keep plans and tools in distinct units. Review the next construction stage before fixing either position.

Downtown infill remodelers

A 30303 storefront renovation may share a loading court with other tenants. Ask the Atlanta owner about its approved interior compound. A Base office suits a pad with planned shore power. Its 50-amp inlet needs an electrical plan. A separate 10 ft box offers a man door for tools. Mark neighboring storefront entries on the site sketch. Ask the transportation desk about any city curb position. Keep the renovation's finished pedestrian route in view.

Northeast Trail teams

Atlanta BeltLine's Northeast Trail Segment 3 page maps Buford Highway to Lindbergh Station. It describes a 2.4-mile route. Trail work involves changing access and property edges. Ask the owner about the current authorized compound. Grid-Free can work without shore power at that position. At the trail compound, its battery runs HVAC. Solar output depends on sun and office load. A 10 ft storage box may fit tight private staging. Keep neighboring trail circulation in the placement sketch.

East Lake station rehabilitation

MARTA's East Lake rehabilitation page identifies a new north elevator. It also describes pedestrian bridge and accessible-parking improvements. Ask MARTA where contractor staging is permitted. A Base office works where shore power is planned. A 12 ft walk-in box offers separate locked tool storage. Keep pedestrian access visible on the site plan. Ask the East Lake project owner before choosing an office position.

Questions Atlanta contractors ask

What comes in a JOLT office for a Atlanta job?

Every 20 ft office has heat and A/C, lights, outlets, a vinyl-plank floor, a 36-inch steel door and two barred windows. Grid-Free adds roof solar, a 10 kWh battery, Starlink and a camera. Offices rent from $795 a month.

Can the office run before the site has power?

Yes. Grid-Free runs its heat and A/C, lights, outlets and Starlink from roof solar and a 10 kWh battery. Output depends on sun and load. It rents for $1,495 a month.

Can we put our logo on it?

Yes. BRAND applies your logo in 24 by 48 inch vinyl on two sides of the unit. $450, one time.

Do I need a permit for a jobsite office in Atlanta?

Ask Atlanta's building and zoning reviewers about the occupied office on your parcel. Georgia's mandatory building-code list establishes a baseline, while the city reviews the specific footprint and use. Bring the construction permit, electrical plan and proposed location to the city; check the owner's restrictions separately.

Can the office sit on a Atlanta street?

Ask Atlanta's transportation desk whether the proposed street position can be approved. Section 3.6 of the city's Public Right-of-Way Manual requires a permit for containers on city right-of-way. Show staff a sketch of the stationary footprint, sidewalk, barricades and reflectors; ask how an occupied office fits.

What does the site need before delivery?

A firm, level pad, a clear path for the truck, and a person on site to show the driver where it goes. Tell us about gates, slopes and overhead lines when you ask for the quote.

How much does delivery to Atlanta cost?

Delivery to Atlanta is quoted per project. We route the unit from the nearest JOLT source yard and send a written delivered quote within one business day. It holds for 14 days. Rent is published: offices from $795 a month, storage from $225.

How long can we rent, and can we buy?

Rentals outside the Rockies start at 12 months. You can also buy an office outright or lease-to-own a 20 ft office over 24 or 36 months.
