JOLT's usual mobile office delivery window is 2–4 weeks after a confirmed reservation. A project quote outside the fixed-fee region arrives within one business day of receiving the job ZIP and unit, but that response does not schedule next-day delivery. Keep quote preparation, reservation confirmation and the actual arrival window as separate milestones in your project schedule.

When does the delivery clock start?

Use the confirmed reservation as the starting event for JOLT's standard window. A preliminary phone conversation, a budget request and a quote sitting in an inbox are earlier steps. Put a specific owner beside each step so procurement does not assume the field team has already reserved the office.

The practical sequence is selection, delivered pricing, approval and reservation. Start by choosing the office and destination, then obtain the transport terms appropriate to that state. Ask the person approving the order to distinguish the requested field date from the window in the confirmed reservation.

Across the office range, JOLT takes a reservation deposit of $750. Rental Agreement §2 applies that deposit against the first invoice. Keep the payment record with the reservation confirmation rather than treating a deposit request by itself as proof that every schedule detail is settled.

For a powered job, the Base 20 ft office gives procurement a specific unit to request. It includes a mini-split for heating and cooling, installed lights and outlets, vinyl-plank flooring and a 50-amp inlet. It needs shore power or a generator furnished by the customer, so electricity readiness belongs on the schedule alongside transport.

Work backward from the day the superintendent needs an operating office, not merely the day a container could arrive. Identify the approvals, internal purchasing steps and power decision that must precede use. That is a planning method, not a promise that every task will fit inside the standard delivery interval.

How is a quote response different from a delivery window?

Outside the five fixed-fee states, use the nationwide project quote request to provide your unit selection and destination ZIP. JOLT's project desk returns the written delivered quote within one business day. A request received after 5:00pm Mountain Time starts counting from the next business day.

That response answers a commercial question: what delivery and pickup have been quoted for this project. It is not an arrival appointment, a permit approval or a declaration that your site can accept the unit. Read it as the basis for your purchasing decision and keep the field readiness review moving separately.

The written offer has a 14-day validity period. Its email includes "Reserve this quote"; that link carries the two transport prices into checkout. Send that email to the person authorized to reserve, instead of asking them to reconstruct the order from an old screenshot or an informal transport allowance.

For example, an estimator can obtain a delivered quote while the superintendent is still resolving placement with the owner. Those are parallel activities with different decision makers. Before reserving, reconcile the unit, destination and intended window so the approval does not refer to an earlier version of the site plan.

If your internal approval will extend beyond the quote's validity, ask for current written terms before proceeding. Do not assume a held budget number is a confirmed reservation. The rental process can help the purchasing and site teams keep their handoffs in the same order.

Which delivery rule applies to your state?

Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and Montana use published transport charges for each unit, each way. In those states, the pickup leg costs the same as delivery. Colorado destinations fall within Zones A–E, while the Mountain West rate covers the other named states.

For the remaining lower-48 destinations, and for Alaska or Hawaii projects, delivery and pickup receive project-specific pricing. Consult the state delivery rules before entering transport on the purchase order. A neighboring state does not inherit a Colorado zone simply because it is near a project already using JOLT equipment.

Colorado and Mountain West delivery and pickup are priced per unit. Outside CO, WY, UT, ID and MT delivery is quoted per project. Rentals outside Colorado have a 12-month minimum.

Transport pricing and delivery timing answer different questions. A published charge identifies a cost rule; it does not replace the confirmed reservation or shorten the 2–4 week standard window. Similarly, a project quote can establish both transport legs without promising a delivery date outside that window.

JOLT routes units from the closest JOLT source yard. Gypsum, Colorado is JOLT's yard on I-70, but a nationwide order should not be scheduled on the assumption that every unit must travel from Gypsum. Use the destination and selected office in your request instead of making your own origin-based travel calculation.

This state distinction also does not extend every product nationwide. Light towers, ground heaters and traffic control are limited to Colorado and the Mountain West. If those items appear on the same procurement list as an office in another region, separate them before requesting a single arrival schedule.

What should be ready before the office arrives?

Assign a field contact to collect unresolved placement, access and utility questions before reservation. Send the project desk the intended location and ask what information is needed to resolve the delivery plan. A marked location that the owner has accepted is more useful for scheduling than a general instruction to place the office wherever space remains.

The power choice deserves an early decision. Base requires a site electricity source or customer-provided generator, whereas Grid-Free includes solar and a 10 kWh battery capable of operating its HVAC without shore power. Selecting Grid-Free changes that power requirement; it does not itself confer permission to occupy the site.

Keep furnishing decisions distinct from the electrical decision. READY supplies two chairs and a plan table, plus a whiteboard, microwave, mini-fridge and heater rated at 1,500 W. If the team needs those items, identify the upgrade in the order rather than discovering on arrival that someone still needs to arrange furniture.

Do not substitute the smaller POWER upgrade for Grid-Free's HVAC battery. POWER includes two 400 W panels, an inverter and an LFP battery storing 3 kWh; its supported loads include laptops, lights, a camera and Starlink. It is not sized to operate the mini-split, which matters when the office must function before site electricity is available.

Use the separate office site-preparation checklist to assign the detailed readiness tasks. For delivery-time planning, the important question is which unresolved task could prevent your team from accepting or using the office. Put that task, its owner and its required decision date on the same schedule as the reservation.

Can you get expedited delivery outside Colorado?

JOLT Express is restricted to Colorado and to an eligible Base 20 ft office. Its delivery commitment is within seven business days, with an Express fee of $795. Eligibility must be established for the actual order; the product name is not a general nationwide speed option.

For a job elsewhere, plan around the standard reservation window rather than attaching the Express timing to a project quote. A written response within one business day does not change that distinction. Ask the project desk to clarify the reservation details rather than converting its response time into a promised arrival.

Supplier timing claims also need their own boundaries. Pacific Mobile Structures describes a typical delivery interval of one to two business days for standard-plan buildings it has in stock (pacificmobile.com, office trailer timing FAQ, checked October 22, 2026). That statement concerns Pacific's stock and terms, not JOLT's office availability or a nationwide industry delivery average.

If you compare proposals, preserve the exact conditions beside each timing statement. Identify the unit type, whether stock availability is assumed, the destination and the event that starts the clock. For any competitor commitment you cannot verify, use "Confirm in the written quote" rather than filling the gap with another supplier's advertised timing.

Avoid committing the crew to an office-dependent milestone based solely on the shortest interval in a sales conversation. Ask for the commitment attached to your selected equipment and destination. A schedule that records its assumptions is easier to correct before mobilization than one built around an inapplicable expedited offer.

How do permits and route planning affect your schedule?

Chicago illustrates why approval sequence belongs ahead of delivery planning. Its construction-trailer Express Permit Program requires the original construction, rehabilitation or demolition permit before the trailer application. The city's application instructions, checked October 22, 2026, identify Municipal Code 14A-4-405 alongside building provision 14B-31-3103 and zoning provision 17-9-0301.

That example is a local process, not a nationwide permit timetable. Ask your jurisdiction which approval comes first and whether the proposed office use belongs under the main project permit or a separate application. Do not assign an approval duration based on Chicago's process if your site is in another city or county.

Transport planning can also have destination-specific steps. Triumph Modular describes a two-week lead time for route surveys and transportation permits when its delivery destination is Boston or Cape & the Islands (triumphmodular.com, mobile office delivery, checked October 22, 2026). Those are Triumph's stated arrangements for those destinations, not additional weeks to add automatically to a JOLT reservation.

The useful takeaway is to ask a concrete question about the actual route and location. Tell the project desk about any known access restrictions and ask what remains to be resolved for the quoted project. Do not decide that a route is acceptable because a smaller delivery vehicle reached the site last month.

Keep authority approval and transport acceptance as separate entries in the schedule. Neither a written freight price nor a confirmed office reservation guarantees a permit. Record who will provide each answer so a project manager can see which decisions are firm before committing dependent work.

Which commercial dates belong beside the arrival window?

Record quote expiry, reservation confirmation, the first day of the delivery window and the cancellation deadline. These dates serve different purposes, so do not combine them in one purchase-order note. A 14-day quote hold is not the same rule as the cancellation notice measured against the delivery window.

Cancellation is free when written notice arrives more than 14 days before that window's first day. If approvals are unresolved, put that threshold on the project manager's calendar before reserving. Do not infer other cancellation remedies or charges from that free-cancellation rule; obtain the applicable written terms for your order.

Term length also affects whether the schedule fits the project. Colorado offices require at least three months, while every rental outside Colorado has a 12-month minimum. A late office arrival in a short field phase does not make an out-of-state order a short-term rental.

The recurring estimate should use current JOLT pricing, selected upgrades, damage waiver, environmental fee and applicable sales tax. Rent changes by the published annual escalator on each anniversary of delivery. For a multiyear schedule, that anniversary is a cost milestone as well as a date in the field record.

Pickup planning begins before the office is no longer needed. JOLT requires written pickup notice at least 15 days ahead under Rental Agreement §16. Mark a notice-review date while making the original schedule so the office's removal does not become an unassigned task at project closeout.

What should your reservation handoff contain?

Give the approving person one current set of instructions: selected office, job ZIP, site contact, requested window and the applicable transport quote. Include unresolved approvals as open items with named owners. Keep an earlier budget request out of that handoff unless it is clearly labeled as superseded.

For offices, show the reservation deposit separately from monthly rent and freight. The office deposit explanation addresses its first-invoice credit without confusing that payment with total rental cost. Ask accounting to use the same unit description as the field request so the payment does not get attached to an outdated selection.

Before the final approval, have the superintendent repeat the expected sequence in plain language. The project quote establishes delivered pricing, the reservation establishes the delivery window, and local review establishes permission for the proposed use. None of those steps should be silently treated as accomplishing the other two.

For a project with several approvers, name the person who will actually complete checkout. Give that person the current quote rather than relying on a forwarded verbal approval. Ask them to return the reservation confirmation to the field contact so the schedule starts from an identifiable event.

At the next coordination meeting, compare the confirmation with the date the team has entered in its look-ahead schedule. If the look-ahead describes an exact arrival day that the reservation does not establish, correct the field assumption. Retain the standard reservation window in the schedule rather than replacing it with a travel-time calculation.

For a nationwide project, send the job ZIP and unit first, then act on the written response while its 14-day validity remains current. For Colorado expedited needs, ask specifically about Express eligibility for Base. In either case, the strongest schedule is the one tied to confirmed order details rather than an assumed travel time.

Questions contractors ask

How much time should I allow after reserving a JOLT office?

Allow the standard 2–4 week delivery window measured from your confirmed reservation.

Does a one-business-day quote mean next-day arrival?

No. The project desk response provides written pricing, while delivery follows the reservation and its delivery window.

What happens to requests sent after the afternoon cutoff?

Requests arriving after 5:00pm Mountain Time count from the following business day for the project quote response.

Can a Texas office order use JOLT Express?

No. Only Colorado deliveries of eligible Base offices in the 20 ft size qualify for Express.

How long may I use the written project quote?

The project quote remains valid for 14 days and includes an email link for reserving that quote.

Is paying an office reservation deposit a permit approval?

No. A reservation payment does not replace the approvals required for your specific location and office use.

What notice is required if I cancel before delivery?

To cancel free, give JOLT written notice before the 14-day cutoff; measure that cutoff backward from your delivery window's first day, and allow more than 14 days.

Does an out-of-state office have a shorter minimum if it arrives late in my project?

Every rental outside Colorado carries a 12-month minimum, so match that commitment to your planned field period before reserving.
