A JOLT office is the 20-foot office that crews work from on job sites, built and outfitted at our yard in Gypsum, Colorado. The same office works as a home office or studio for people who work from home: a room of its own, a few steps from the house, with a door that locks behind you at the end of the day.

Each office starts as a one-trip steel container that could have sat empty in a port yard. We give it a second life as a working room. Every office is built the same way. The crew cuts the door and window openings in a one-trip steel container, frames them, lines the walls with rigid foam insulation and hangs half-inch drywall. Then come mini-split heat and air conditioning, lights and a locking steel door. See how we build them.

Heat, air conditioning and power

Heat and air conditioning come in every office. The Base office plugs into shore power through a 50-amp inlet.

Grid-Free runs on its own solar and battery, with Starlink. It adds rooftop solar, a 10 kWh battery that runs the heat and cooling, Starlink and a security camera, so there is no generator. For a studio at the back of a lot with no power run to it, that is the build to look at.

Alpine adds the mountain envelope and backup heat to the Grid-Free build.

Buy it or lease to own it

A backyard office is bought or leased to own at the published 20-foot office prices.

• Buy outright. The Base office is $17,500, Grid-Free is $24,500 and Alpine is $37,500, before applicable sales tax. The full builds are on Buy a 20 ft office.
• Lease to own. Pay monthly, and the office is yours after the last payment. The Base office is $845/mo for 36 months. Title transfers under the Lease-to-Own Addendum. Every plan is on lease to own.

Stone Ridge Leasing, LLC is the leasing entity. It owns the fleet and is the lessor of record on the ownership and lease-to-own documents, so its name is the one on your paperwork.

Any office can also carry your logo, applied in the Gypsum yard before delivery. For a studio, that can be the logo of the business you run from it.

Delivery

Delivery is at the published fee in the five Rockies states: Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and Montana. When you buy, delivery is included in Zones A and B: Gypsum, Eagle, Edwards, Avon, Beaver Creek, Vail, Minturn, Wolcott and Glenwood Springs. Everywhere else in the lower 48, you get a written quote within one business day.

How the office travels depends on where it is going. A 20-foot office headed anywhere in Colorado or the Mountain West rides on JOLT's own truck. Every order outside the Rockies ships on a vetted partner carrier from the nearest JOLT source yard. The written quote holds for 14 days, and placement is in the quote.
